1995 CART "IndyCar" Test Day At Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (Hi-Def)
In 1995, the rift between CART "IndyCar" and the IRL (Indy Racing League) had gotten to the point where many CART teams did not participate in the Indy 500. A few weeks after Indy, the CART teams staged a several day long road course practice session at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, Ohio - open to the public. As a freelance videographer and racing enthusiast, I took this opportunity to shoot several hours of the Friday practice with my son. At 15:37, there's a humorous sequence of Jacques Villeneuve having a publicity picture taken beside his hauler to commemorate his win in the '95 Indy 500. This is edited, SD video, upconverted to 1080p. The later half of the testing session is edited to appear as "multi-camera" to show "laps" as the cars move through the back half of the course.
