Adam Khan
At just 22, Adam Khan has done it all. He has been part of the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup, the British Formula3 series and has also raced for his country in the World Cup of Motorsports, the A1 Grand Prix.
In 2001, Adam was given the opportunity to test-drive a Porsche which was immediately followed by a five-day course at Silverstone. The course helped Adam pick up his competitive license. In 2001-02, he took that license and got into the six-race Formula Ford BRDC series and in his first season as a professional, he came second in the series.
In 2002-03, he was part of the winter British Formula Three Winter Championships with his new team, T-Sport. In the Scholarship class, Adam came second while he also won his second Formula 3 race in the same year. He also had five races of the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup series on his platter in the same year.
It was to be the British Formula Three Championships for Adam in 2003-04 where he participated with Alan Docking Racing in the British Scholarship class. His natural speed and intelligence was the ideal character setting for any driver and Adam Khan was on his way up. In 2005-06, Adam was representing Pakistan in A1 Grand Prix and at Brands Hatch, he picked up the first ever points with a seventh place finish in the feature race. He finished the season with a fifth place at Shanghai.
In 2007, Adam took a break from racing and completed his Business Studies degree from Kings College in London. In the new A1 Grand Prix season, Adam will be back on track with the Pakistan team and the talented lad who was first spotted by Eddie Jordan as a hot prospect, will be looking to make his mark in the sport and being the only driver on the team roster certainly gives him enough time to do so.
