Tonya “Triple Threat” Evinger is an American female MMA athlete that has been competing in the mixed martial arts scene since the beginning of 2006. Her style in fighting includes a combination of wresting, martial art and boxing. She trained under the Ken Shmarock’s Lion’s Den MMA camp but is currently under the Gracie Barra Champions.

Evinger was born in the small city of Odessa in Missouri on June 19, 1984. She had an interest in wrestling during her senior high years and became the only female wrestler in her high school’s wrestling team. She became a U.S. champ and took a scholarship in Missouri Valley College where her wrestling career continued. After graduation, she decided to take on the MMA stage.

She initially had three amateur fights before entering the big fights in the MMA octagon. Her debut fight was lost to Jennifer Tate at the IFC Warriors Challenge 21 on June 2006. She had two wins after than reigning against Erin Reynolds and Jen Babcock at the ISCF Midwest Fightfest and the True Fight Fan – Clash in the Cage 10 respectively.

Triple Threat’s professional career started in 2006 and won 5 consecutive fights till the year 2007 against Brittany Pullen twice, Angela Hayes, Shonie Plagmann and Ginele Marquez. Her first professional defeat was against Vanessa Porto at the FF2- Girls Night Out followed by a defeat from Gina Carano via submission at the Elite XC Uprising, both in 2007.

She had several defeats and successful fights then, up to September 2011 where she won against Anita Rodriguez via submission at the XFL – Rumble on the River 5. All of her succeeding matches were victorious defeating Lacie Jackson, Carina Damm, Sarah D’Alelio, Ediana Gomes, Cindy Dandois, Irene Aldana and the latest Pannie Kianzad at the Invicta FC 14 via TKO last September 12, 2015.

Her professional MMA career record is consisted of 22 fights with 17 wins and 5 losses, 4 of which is via submission and 1 via unanimous decision.
