The goal line is the single most important line on a hockey rink, with the crease lines coming in a close second. Without a goal line there is no win, as this is the thick red line that runs between the goal posts on the actual goal net. Once the puck crosses over the thick red goal line, that counts as a point and that can add up to a win for the opposite team. The goal line is where you want to prevent the puck from going after bouncing off of the hockey stick of another team.
