Andreas Jamtin
Andreas Jamtin is a Swedish winger on Linkopings HC.
Jamtin was drafted by Detroit in 2001, but has yet to play in the NHL. He has played for a number of different teams in Sweden and Finland, and Linkopings is his fourth Elitserien team this decade. He played with Farjestads BK in 2000-01, and joined AIK the next season. He was signed by HV71 in 2003, and spent five seasons as the team’s enforcer, aside from a brief loan to TPS in 2005-06. In 2007-08, he had the best season of his career, scoring 17 goals, 30 points and 167 penalty minutes, all career highs. He signed a contract with the New York Rangers and came to the AHL in 2008. He appeared in only 9 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack and the Charlotte Checkers in the ECHL before returning to the Elitserien, where he signed with Linkopings.
Jamtin played for Sweden at the ’01, ’02 and ’03 World Juniors.
