Freddy Meyer is an American defenseman on the New York Islanders.
Meyer was undrafted after playing college hockey at Boston University. He was signed by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2003, and actually had his most productive season with the Flyers in 2005-06, when he scored 6 goals and 27 points in 57 games during his rookie season. He was traded to New York in 2006, where he finished the ’06-07 season. He was picked up by Phoenix in 2007, where he played only 5 games before returning to the Islanders.
Meyer played for Team USA at the 1999 U18 Championships and the 2006 World Championships.
