Rory Fitzpatrick

Rory Fitzpatrick is an American defenseman on the Florida Panthers.

He was drafted by Montreal in 1993 and debuted in 1995. He has been an NHL journeyman his entire career, making brief stops in St. Louis and Nashville after playing parts of two seasons in Montreal. With Buffalo, Fitzpatrick finally got some regular playing time and he spent 4 seasons with the Sabres. He played a season in Vancouver, and garnered some attention, when a number of fans decided to try to vote him into the All-Star game as a starter, to prove that the NHL voting system was flawed. He ended up finishing third in votes, despite not having a single point at the time of voting. He played 2007-08 with Philadelphia, and signed with Florida in the offseason.
