Linda Maria Wessberg was born in Gothenburg, Sweden on born June 13, 1980. She is one of the popular Swedish professional golf players and is part of the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour. She played golf when she spent her college years in the United States. She earned the 2001 junior championship title in Sweden at the same time is a Swedish representative. She was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2006.
Linda, who likes to play soccer, ice hockey and all sports shopping, was the player of the year in 2003 where she turned professional as well. She held her exemption status at the LET Ranking Tournament Winners. She joined the Telia Tour, her home country’s domestic tour. She was in the ninth ranking in the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit. She was also a runner up for the Rookie of the Year title of the Minea Blomqvist. Her two Ladies European Tour wins were earned at the 2006 Wales Ladies Championships of Europe and the 2007 Vediorbis Open de France Dames. In the 2007 European Solheim Cup team, Linda was the captain’s pick.
However, critiques were not impressed by her slow play at the Women’s British Open in 2007. In 2008, she played 20 events and made 12 cuts. She has a T8 as her best finish with 1 top ten finish. She both has 18 pars in round one and round 2.
Linda won 2 major tournaments in her golfing career from all the 61 tournaments she played. She had 12 top ten finishes and completed 214 rounds. She has a 65 position in the lowest round and earned a 72.57% stroke average.
