Mathew Charles Goggin is one of the current Australian professional golfers who are playing on the PGA Tour as well as the PGA Tour of Australasia. Born on June 13, 1974 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, Goggin has done quite well on the Tours he has participated in.
Not much is known of Goggin’s life before turning pro, except that he joined the ranks of professional golfers in 1995. As an amateur, Goggin was able to win the Australian Amateur in 1995, which was played in the Huntingdale Golf Club located in Melbourne, Victoria. In addition, he was also the winner of the Tasmanian Amateur during the same year that was held at Seabrook Golf Club, which is located in Wynyard, Tasmania.
Currently, Goggin is a member of the PGA Tour season for 2010. He did, however, join the PGA Tour previously from 2000 to 2003, and after losing his card, he regained it once more in 2006. Goggin also played in the Nationwide Tour in 1999, 2004, and 2005.
So far, this best finish on the PGA Tour money list was in 2008 where he was able to land in at No. 40.
Goggin also spent time playing in the Challenge Tour as well as the European Tour before entering the PGA Tour.
