In Wrist spin bowling, the ball is released from the back of the hand in such a way that it passes above the little finger. Right handed wrist spin results in an anti-clockwise rotation of the ball as viewed by the bowler and is called as leg spin. Left handed wrist spin results in clockwise rotation of the ball as viewed by the bowler and is called left arm unorthodox spin.
