Career

Azam’s international career spanned from 1996 to 1998, during which he played one Test match and six ODIs. His Test debut came against the Zimbabwe National Cricket Team in October 1996, where he managed to score 14 runs. In ODIs, he showcased more resilience, accumulating a total of 116 runs with a high score of 72. His ODI batting average stood at 23.19, which included one half-century.

On the domestic circuit, Azam was a regular feature, playing approximately 120 first-class matches. In these matches, he scored 6,875 runs at an average of 36.37, highlighted by 11 centuries and 40 half-centuries. His best performance in first-class cricket was an impressive 215.
