Malinda Warnapura

Malinda Warnapura is a left handed batsman and right arm offbreak bowler who plays for Sri Lanka cricket team. The other teams he has played for are Colts Cricket Club, Colombo Cricket Club, Burgher Recreation Club and Basnahira South.

Warnapura debuted in One day Internationals on 20th May 2007 at Abu Dhabi against Pakistan. In this match, he batted at the No. 3 position and scored 5 runs in 14 deliveries and was leg before wicket to Mohammad Asif. Pakistan won this match by 98 runs. Warnapura played his first Test match on 25th June 2007 at Colombo against Bangladesh. In the 1st innings, he took the catch of Mohammad Ashraful. He batted at the No. 2 spot and was out for no score. In the 2nd innings, he took the catch of Shakib Al Hasan. Sri Lanka won this match by an innings and 234 runs.
