Mahela Udawatte is a left handed batsman and right arm offbreak bowler who plays for Sri Lanka cricket team. He has also played for Wayamba, Sri Lanka Academy XI, Sri Lanka A, Chilaw Marians Cricket Club and Ananda College.

Udawatte played his first One day International on 10th April 2008 at Port of Spain against West Indies.
