Barbara Daniels
Barbara Daniels is a Right handed batsman and an occasional Right arm medium bowler with the England Women’s cricket team. She has also played for the West Midlands Women’s cricket teams.
Barbara Daniels debuted in International cricket in a One day international match against the Denmark Women’s team at Banstead in 1993. She remained not out after scoring 60 runs as the English women set a target of 286 runs. England went on to win the match by 239 runs. The same year she was also a part of the England Women’s team that won the World Cup. In 1995, she played her first International test match against India at Kolkata. In the first innings, Daniels scored 21 runs in 41 balls and was trapped leg before wicket by Sangita Dabir. In the second innings, Daniels was dismissed for a duck after playing 13 balls by giving a catch to Dabir off a ball by Pramila Bhatt as the match was drawn. In 1998, Barb Daniels was appointed as the ECB Women’s Cricket National Manager.
In a total of 55 One day Internationals’, Daniels has scored 1309 runs with a high score of 142 runs not out, 16 catches and a century. She also has a total of 441 runs with a high score of 160 runs which includes a century in the 9 Test matches that she has played.
