Farveez Maharoof is a right handed batsman and right arm fast medium bowler from Sri Lanka who has played for teams like Wesley College, Wayamba, Sri Lanka Under-19s, Sri Lanka Under-15s, Sri Lanka Schools XI, Sri Lanka A, Delhi Daredevils, Colombo Cricket Club, Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club, Asia XI and Sri Lanka.
Maharoof debuted in Test cricket during 6 to 8 May 2004 at Harare against Zimbabwe. So far he has appeared in 20 Test matches wherein he has bowled 2628 deliveries and conceded 1458 runs. His bowling average has been 60.75, economy 3.32 and strike rate 109.5. He batted in 31 innings and piled up 538 runs with the highest score of 72. His batting average is 19.92 and strike rate 40.
