Dheeraj Jadhav
Dheeraj Subhash Jadhav is a left handed batsman and right arm offbreak bowler from India. The major teams he has played for are Reebok XI, Mumbai Champs, Maharashtra, Indian Board President’s XI and Air India. Presently, he is with the Pune Warriors India team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.
Initially Jadhav used to play as a solid middle order batsman. However his career was entirely altered when he transformed himself into a strokeplaying opening batsman. In 2003-04 he had an impressive domestic season and hence he got admission in the radar of the Indian selectors. In 2004-05 prior to the series against Australia an India versus India A warm-up match was played in which Jadhav scored a handsome century. Due to this performance he was included in the Test squad chosen for the fourth Test at Mumbai.
Jadhav made his first class debut in 1999-2000. From 2004 to 2005-06 he played in List A matches. During his career he has participated in 37 List A matches in which he played in 37 innings. He piled up 1559 runs and was unbeaten twice. His highest score was 148* and batting average was 47.24. As a fielder he took 18 catches.
Jadhav has also appeared in 76 first class matches in which he played in 122 innings. He accumulated 5831 runs at a batting average of 56.06. His highest score has been 260 not out and he has taken 51 catches.
