Methodology
The CEAT ratings tries to standardize the performance of batsmen, bowlers, wicketkeepers and fielders with a simple equation of 100 runs # 5 wickets = 5 catches 6 dismissals by a wicketkeeper. The point system was devised by the trio Chappel, Gavaskar and Lloyd and considers the performances of cricketers from the 1st of May to the 30th of April every year. The selection of the best cricket team is done by Gavaskar, Chappell and Llyod after considering the teams total points of the team along with the ratio of One day and test matches played, matches played at home, the number of matches played and the quality of the opposition.
