Luis Ibarra Castillo, also known as “El Naja” is a Panamanian professional boxer who was born on February 23, 1953 in Colon, Panama. He started competing in professional fights in 1975 when he was still 22 years old. In 1979, 4 years after he started fighting professionally, he faced Betulio Gonzalez from Venezuela. He kept the title from November 17, 1979 until February 17, 1980 when he was defeated by Tae Shik Kim from Korea in round 2. In 1981, Santos Benigno Laciar was then the WBA Flyweight Champion, but Ibarra Castillo was able to recapture the title again defeating Laciar in Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, in that same year, Juan Herrera from Mexico defeated him by a TKO. He then decided to retire in 1982 after defeating Ernesto Sanchez from Dominican Republic in his hometown, Colon City, Panama.

He made a comeback by 1989 and lost to Pedro Romero in August. However, by November of that same year, he defeated Roy Thompson, a fellow Panamanian in Colon City, Panama. His last recorded fight was in 1990 where he lost against Benedicto Murillo also from Panama.
