Manila, Philippines – As early as it seems, Manny Pacquiao’s coach, Freddie Roach, is foreseeing a future where Pacquiao (aka Pacman) knocks out Antonio Margarito during the scheduled fight in November.
Known as one of the hottest boxing trainers in the whole world, Roach publicly gave his views as soon as the news came out regarding the slated match between his athlete, Pacquiao, and the bigger and taller Margarito in November.
Some may feel that this is Roach’s way of selling the fight, while some debate that Roach simply thinks Pacquiao does not have any reason to lose the said fight.
According to Roach, “Manny will knock him out. We will knock him out.” So far, Roach has often been correct whenever he makes one of his predictions regarding fights that involve Pacquiao. In fact, he was right when he said Pacquiao would knock David Diaz out in round 9, and Oscar de la Hoya’s defeat in round 8.
“It’s probably a marketable fight, and Manny beats up another Mexican,” said Roach.
Bob Arum, Top Rank’s chief, said that the fight is definitely Margarito against Pacquiao on November 13, even though Pacquiao has yet to get his hands on the fight proposal.
According to Arum, he does not find any problem with Pacquiao’s impending fight against Margarito because it should be a rather interesting and competitive fight than the one that was set up against Miguel Cotto.
The fight on November 13 is set to take place either in Mexico, Dallas, Las Vegas, or Abu Dhabi.
