Louis Gabriel Amundson is a professional basketball player from the United States of America. A graduate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Amundson became the first player in the history of the Mountain Western Conference to score multiple double-doubles with 20+ points and 20+ rebounds in a single game.
In his senior year, Amundson was named to the Second team of the All-Mountain West Conference honours. He played in the NBA - D league in 2006, picking up the Rookie of the Year award as well as being named to the All NBA - D League first team for the season. He averaged at 11.1 points per game and had a 56.3 shooting percentage. He combined that with 7.6 rebounds and 2.48 blocks in the 25 minutes that he averaged per game.
Amundson was picked by the Utah Jazz in 2007 but moved to the Phoenix Suns in the same year. In 2008, he confirmed a two-year contract with the Suns.
