Steve Blake is a former American professional basketball player and current coach who played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association.

He has played for a number of teams including the Washington Wizards, Portland Trail Blazers, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors, and the Detroit Pistons. He also spent a short time playing for the Sydney Kings in Australia.

Professional Career

Blake was selected by the Washington Wizards with the 38th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.

Throughout his career, he played for nine different NBA teams, with multiple stints with the Portland Trail Blazers. He has also played for Washington Wizards, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors, and the Detroit Pistons.

He also spent a short time playing for the Sydney Kings in Australia in 2016.

Coaching Career

After retiring as a player, Blake transitioned into coaching.

He served as an assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazers from 2018 to 2019 and the Phoenix Suns from 2019 to 2020.
