Williams was in Durham, North Carolina to meet with a specialist and returned to Atlanta with this news. His lower back pain had led to two missed games at a time when he was averaging 14 points per game with 6.4 rebounds.
There is no confirmed date as to his return and williams will mostly use rest and treatment to solve the issue. Williams’ absence might not affect the team too much as they have shown in the past. The Hawks have won all 5 games this season where Williams has been out of the teamsheet.
