Christopher Dalton Johnson is a professional baseball player from the United States of America and plays as a Third Baseman. Johnson went to the Bishop Verot High School in Fort Myers, playing for his school baseball team. He went on to attend the Florida Atlantic University before moving onto Stetson University, for his sophomore & junior year, to improve his future baseball career.

In the 2006 MLB Amateur Draft, Johnson was picked in the 4th round by the Houston Astros.

Johnson began playing in the lower A-Division with the Tri-City ValleyCats. At 222 at-bats, Johnson had 47 hits at an ERA of .212 only. In 2007, he began playing with the Lexington Legends in the A-League and with a .259 ERA, was sent up to the Salem Avalanche in the Advanced A-League till the end of the 2007 season. Johnson had a .263 ERA with the Avalanche, hitting 38 RBI and 6 homers in 224 at-bats.

In 2008, he moved up to the Corpus Christi Hooks in the AA-League and was quite spectacular in his 84 games. At 334 at-bats, Johnson had 107 hits with 12 homers and 58 RBI at an ERA of .324. His slugging stood at .506, gaining him a bunt up to the Round Rock Express in the AAA-League. Johnson’s 2008 season ended a little before the actual end when he was struck by injury.

He returned in 2009 to play with the Round Rock Express and after notching up a .281 ERA in 384 at-bats, Johnson was called up to the Houston Astros’ MLB roster. Making his debut in September 2009, Johnson has had just 11 games with the MLB team and will, in all likelihood, return to them for the new season.
