Tim Wood

Timothy Dotle Wood is a professional baseball player who plays as a pitcher. A student at the Pima Community College, Wood went undrafted mainly due to his college not being amongst the top colleges in the country. Wood went in the hard way and has worked his way up the chain at the Florida Marlins organization.

Wood spent a considerable amount of time in the minors and it was only in June 2009 that he got his first call up to the majors. However, his call up went by without Wood seeing a single game and he was optioned out to the minors once again. He received another call up in June, this time on the 21st and 4 days later, Wood made his debut for the Florida Marlins. Wood has played two games for the Marlins in 2009 so far.
