Robinson Cano is a Dominican baseball player player who plays second base in the New York Yankees since 2005. He signed a minor league contract with the Yankees in 2001, won the Yankees Minor League Player of the Year Award in 2004, and made his major league debut in 2005. In his first season he won the ‘This Year in Baseball’ Rookie of the Year award. In 2006 he won the Silver Slugger Award and was selected to the American League All Star Team, but could not play due to an injury.
