Christopher Brandon Young is an American professional baseball player who plays for the Arizona Diamondbacks. A Centre fielder, Young became the first Rookie in the history of MLB, to hit 30 home runs and steal 25 bases. Young attended the Bellaire High School, the school with the most feared team in the USA. In 2001, he was picked by the Chicago White Sox in the MLB Draft but after 4 seasons of minor leagues, was traded out to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

While in the minor leagues in the White Sox structure, he became an Appalachian League All-Star outfielder in 2003. In 2005, the year of his trade, he was named to the Minor League All-Star first team as an outfielder and also won the Chicago White Sox Minor League Player of the Year. In 2006, in the Diamondbacks' structure now, he won the AAA All-Star outfielder as well as got named to the Baseball America Minor League All-Star Second Team as an Outfielder.

In 2006, Young came on the field for a big league game for the first time with the Diamondbacks. He was selected in the 2007 Topps Major League Rookie All-Star team. In the same year, he also won the BET Major League Rookie of the Year Award.
