Career
Ramon's professional journey began when he was signed as an amateur free agent by the Texas Rangers on December 27, 1996. Despite his potential, he was released two years later. His next opportunity came in March 2003 when he joined the New York Yankees. After showcasing his skills in the minor leagues, he was traded to the Rockies in July 2005, where he continued to refine his game.He made a significant mark in the MLB with his debut on April 14, 2006, facing off against the Philadelphia Phillies. Notably, in his rookie season, he set a franchise record for the Rockies by achieving the longest scoreless streak for a reliever at the start of a career, going 15 1/3 innings without allowing a run. This impressive streak ended on May 15, 2006, when he conceded an RBI single to Nomar Garciaparra.
