Jon Lester is an American pitcher on the Boston Red Sox.
Lester was drafted in 2002 by the Red Sox and made his debut in June of 2006. While he was successful, he was diagnosed with lymphoma and missed the rest of the season while undergoing treatment. He made his return to the Red Sox lineup in July of 2007, and ended up pitching the final game of the World Series. Lester also threw his first no-hitter on May 19 of the 2008 season against the Kansas City Royals.
