Nikola Zigic is a Serbian international footballer who currently features for the Spanish giants Valencia. He plays as a striker and has been voted Serbia's Player of the Year three times(in 2003, 2005 and 2006).
Nikola Zigic came to the fore while playing for Red Star Belgrade in the 2003-2004 season and after scoring a phenomenal 71 goals in 110 appearances for the club.He was then signed by Spanish side Racing Santander in the summer of 2006 and 11 goals in 32 appearanes for Racing were enough to convince Valencia to sign the player for 15 million euros on a five-year contract. But he was sparingly used in his first campaign at the Mestalla and is speculated to be on the move out of Valencia.
Zigic played for Serbia & Montenegro in the 2006 Germany World Cup.
