Raúl Albiol Tortajada is a Spanish international footballer who currently features for the Spanish giants Valencia. He is a versatile footballer who can play as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder. Albiol is a member of the Spain squad for the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland.

Raul Albiol graduated from the famous youth academy of Valencia but made his senior debut in La Liga for modest Madrid side in their debut season in La Liga in 2004-2005 as a loanee. He returned to Valencia in the summer of 2005 after making 19 apperances for the club and very soon created space for himself in the Valencia starting xi.

Raul Albiol has made 92 appearances for Valencia and made his international debut for Spain in October 2007 against Denmark.
