Brett Lebda is an American defenseman on the Detroit Red Wings.
Lebda played college hockey at Notre Dame, where in his freshman season he set a school record with 109 PIM, while leading all defensemen in scoring. He played for the 2002 US Junior National Team. He received a tryout with the Red Wings' AHL affiliate, Grand Rapids Griffins and spent three seasons there.
In 2005, Lebda made his NHL debut and scored his first NHL goal on October 5. Since then, he has played 198 regular season games for the Red Wings.
