Caroline is the only Danish player who is in the top 500 on the WTA Tour. Born on July 11, 1990 in Odense, she earned her number 34 rank in May 19, 2008. The 18 year old professional tennis player speaks fluent Polish, Danish and English. She became trilingual being born to parents from Poland.

In July 19, 2005 Caroline made her first appearance at Cincinnati’s Western and Southern Financial Group Women’s Open in the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. She lost a tournament to Patty Schnyder in the first round who became the champion later on. Caroline also appeared in the Orange Bowl tennis championship that same year.

At the Australian Open in 2006 for the junior girl’s single, Caroline lost a final game to Russian player, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova but was seeded second in the doubles tournament with Anna Tatishvili. Duo Alice Cornet and Corinna Dentoni, seeded eigth, and won in the semi-final instead. In February 2007, Caroline finally earned the singles title to Alberta Brianti, an Italian player. After a month of same year she won in the finals to Akiko Morigami in Las Vegas.

Early this year, Caroline lost an exhibition game to Maria Sharapova but won the doubles event when she paired with Venus Williams. Both games were played in Hong Kong. At the 2008 Australian Open Caroline Wozniacki defeated Argentine Dulko, Alyona Bondarenko, and Sabine Lisicki, but lost a game to Ana Ivanović.

With her number 34 ranking in the singles titles and number 113 in the doubles titles, Caroline also achieved 3 ITF and 4 Grand Slam results: in 2007 US Open (2R), 2007 Wimbledon (2R), 2008 French Open (3R), and the 2008 Australian Open (4R).
