Wayne Rooney is an English football player who plays for Manchester United and in England's national team. His first position is deep-lying forward and striker but he has also played midfield on both flanks. Rooney is one of most promising players in England.

Wayne Rooney signed on for Everton just before his 11th birthday. Rooney got a lot of media attention when he became the youngest player ever to score in the Premiership. He was 16 years and 360 days old (record has been broken twice since). Rooney played 67 games and scored 15 goals.

Wayne Rooney joined Manchester United from Everton in 2004 and in his debut game he scored a hat trick against Turkish Fenerbahce. With Manchester United he has won the League 2007 and the League Cup in 2006.

Wayne Rooney has 40 caps for England and has scored 14 goals since 2003.
