Frederick Funk is a male professional golfer from the United States. He was born on June 14, 1956 in Takoma Park, Maryland, and earned a degree in law enforcement from the University of Maryland in College Park. Although Funk turned pro in 1981, it was not until 1989 that he became a member of the PGA Tour.

After Funk turned pro, he worked as a golf coach at his Alma Mater from 1982 to 1988. Before joining the PGA Tour, he has picked up a number of wins from 1992 onwards. Although he was a winner of, he did not really become one of the top star players on the tour. He did, however, reach the top 20 in terms of career money. Plus, he was a member of the 2004 Ryder Cup as well as the 2003 and 2005 Presidents Cup.

Funk has also earned the distinction of being one of the shortest drivers of current PGA Tours. He is, however, almost always close to the top of the driving accuracy statistics. These days, his playing competitors are now regarding him as one of the straightest golfers to play golf. In fact, he has achieved some of the highest driving accuracy based on the statistics on the PGA Tour seven times.

Over the course of his career, Funk has enjoyed 19 professional wins, 8 of which were won on the PGA Tour and 6 from other tours. Unfortunately, he has not yet been able to win in any of the Major Championships, despite performing well in some of them.
