Kimberly attented George Washington University, where she majoried in history. She played basketball for the Colonials under coach Joe McKeown.
She played from 2004 to 2008. She received the Associated Press All-American Honorable Mention in 2007, as well as the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year. She was All-Atlantic 10 First Team in 2006 and 2007. She made the All-Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team in 2006 and 2007 as well. She was one of three national finalists for the Nancy Lieberman Award in 2007.
