Erica Rene White is the daughter of Terry White and Robin Manigault. She has three sisters: Leslie Manigault, Courtney Manigault and Jordan White, and a brother: Terry White, Jr.

High School
Erica attended Ribault High School, where she averaged 24.0 points, 6.0 steals and 5.2 assists per game for coach Alfred Austin. She led her school to three straight state titles in 2001, 2002 and 2003, and was named McDonald's All-American as a senior, as well as second-team Parade All-American and honorable mention WBCA All-American.

University
Erica attended Louisiana Statue University (LSU) where she majored in General studies, with a concentration in communication studies, sociology and sports studies.

She played basketball for the Lady Tigers, first under coach Pokey Chatman, then Chatman's replacement Bob Starkey, then Van Chancellor, from 2004 to 2008.

The 5 ft 3 Erica came off the bench until her junior year, when she started in 33 of 34 games. In her senior year, she was named second-team All-SEC by the coaches and AP, and earned All-New Orleans Region honors.

She finished her career in third-place on LSU's career assists list with 519, in fifth-place in assists by a senior at LSU with 156.

Erica was the number #17 pick in the 2008 WNBA draft -- she was the third pick in the second round by the Houston Comets.
