Chad Johnson

Chad Johnson plays for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals chose the wide receiver in the 2001 NFL Draft. Johnson, who played his college ball at Oregon State, was the 36th pick overall in round two of the draft.

After attending Santa Monica Junior College in 1997, Johnson transferred to Oregon State. That season, the Beavers were 11-1, earning a Fiesta Bowl invitation. In the bowl contest, Oregon State met and beat Notre Dame. In one season with the Beavers, Johnson made 37 receptions for 806 yards and eight touchdowns.

Since 2003, he's been a perennial Pro Bowl selection (2003- 2007) and a three-time All-Pro. Johnson, who played 12 games in his first NFL season, has participated in every regular season game since 2002. In 108 games, he's made 559 catches for 8,365 yards and 49 touchdowns. Since 2002, he's averaged over 1,200 yards per season and over 15 yards per catch.

The 6-foot-1, 192-pound Johnson is a fine athlete who has become the Bengals go-to guy. Fast, aggressive and fearless, he can extend his body to make tough catches, run crisp routes with clean cuts and get under the ball when thrown deep. A consistent performer, he has a fine work ethic and a winning attitude.
