Marcos António Senna da Silva is a Brazilian born Spanish international footballer who currently features for the Spanish side Villareal. Senna plays as a defensive midfield for both Spain and Villarreal and is renowned as one of the best anchormen in European football.
After arching though a host of clubs in his native Brazil including Sao Caetano, Marcos Senna landed in Villarreal in 2002 and developed into one of the best midfielders in Spain and Europe.
His conistency in defensive midfield propelled Villarreal reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2006 and occupy second spot in La Liga in the 2007-2008 season.
Marcos Senna was granted Spanish citizenship in 2006 and represented Spain in the 20026 Germany World Cup.
