Javier Rodríguez Venta is a Spanish international footballer who features for the Spanish side Villarreal. Javi Venta plays as a defender and his preferred position is at right back.

Javi Venta had played for a multitude of clubs before settling at Villarreal. He started his career at Real Oveiedo and subsequently played for obscure clubs Gimnástica de Torrelavega, CD Onda and Racing de Ferrol.

Javi Venta moved to Villarreal in 2002 after a one-year loan period at Tenerife. He has developed into one of the best and most consistent right backs in Spanish football and is also part of the Spanish national set-up under head coach Luis Aragones.
