Miguel Ángel Ferrer Martínez, popularly known only as Mista, is a Spanish footballer who currently features for the Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. Mista is actually a graduate of the highly rated Real Madrid youth academy but couldn't cut the grades at the senior side.
Mista is actually a striker and a protigee of the former REal Madrid youth coach Rafael Benitez. He made his name at modest Tenerife whom he helped gain promotion from the Segunda Division to the Spanish first division in 2001.
Mista was subsequently signed by Spanish giants Valencia in the summer of 2001 and in his next 5 years at the Mestalla, he won La Liga twice(2002,2004) and the UEFA Cup once(2004) with Valencia.
He has been playing for Atletico Madrid since 2006 and has played twice for the Spanish national side.
