Oleguer Presas I Renom is a Spanish footballer who is a Catalan through and through and plays for the Spanish and European giants FC Barcelona. He actually started in the top league late but has somehow settled into top-flight football.
Oleguer Presas began his football at modest Lepanto in his hometown Sabadell. In 1997, he joined UDA Gramante and made his senior debut in 2001. However one season later he was off to Barcelona to play for their B team. Presas was promoted to the Barcelona first team in 2002.
Oleguer Presas has been usually a bit-part player for Barcelona although he is highly rated and much adored by the Barca fans. He played a vital role in Barca’s 2005-2006 season and although he prefers to play at right-back, he has often been paired with Carles Puyol in central defence in his tenure at Barcelona.
