Santiago Ezquerro Marin is a Spanish footballer currently featuring for the Spanish and European giants FC Barcelona. He plays as striker and made his name with the Basque giants Athletic de Bilbao He has featured just one for his national Spain.

Santiago Ezquerro commenced his professional career with modest Osasuna in the year 1994 and played in Pamplona for two seasons. He then moved onto Madrid giant Atletico Madrid and then switched to Real Mallorca and then to Bilbao.

It was at Bilbao that Ezquerro carved out a name for himself in the footballing realm. He featured in 222 matches for the Basuqe giants from 1998 to 2005 and scored 45 goals. Ezquerro was singed by Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer of 2005 but in his three seasons so far, he has been unable to play regularly and has played just 24 times for the Blaugrana.

Santiago Ezquerro played just one international for Spain and that was way back in 1998 when he featured in Spain’s 3-2 away defeat at Cyprus in a Euro 2000 qualifier.
