Roberto Soldado Rillo is a Spanish international striker currently featuring for the Spanish and European giants Real Madrid. He has been at the club since he was 13 and is a product of the club’s highly rated youth system.
Soldado joined Real Madrid from Valencia when he has just stepped into his teens and boomed into Real Madrid Castilla in 2002 and stayed there for the next four years. However he made his senior debut for Real Madrid in September, 2005 and was already among the goals right from the start.
Roberto Soldado was sent on loan to La Liga minnows Osasuna for the 2005-2006 season to gain first team experience. He impressed at Pamplona, scoring a decent 11 goals in 30 matches for Osasuna. He returned to Real Madrid at the start of the 2007-2008 season and renewed his contract thus allowing him to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2012.
Soldado played for Spanish U21 side from 2003-2006 and was called by the Spanish national team coach Luis Aragones in June 2007 to the senior side to play against Latvia and Liechtenstein in the Euro 2008 qualifiers.
