Chandrakant Borde fan club
Chandrakant Borde, popularly known as Chandu Borde, was recognized as the most promising cricketers of India during late 50s. He had also been a leading all-rounder of Indian cricket team. The other teams with which he was associated include Baroda and Maharashtra.
Borde made his Test debut against West Indies in the year 1958 from 28th of November to 3rd of December at Brabourne Stadium, Bombay. This match had ended in a draw. In the first innings, he was ‘run out’ on 7. The last test was played by him against Australia from 4th to 9th of November, 1969. It was won by Australia by 8 wickets. Chandu Borde could make just 2 runs in the first innings; and 18 in the second.
As batsman, Chandu had the capability of each and every stroke in book. He went on to model batting of his after ‘Vijay Hazare’; still, was somewhat more adventurous. However, his bowling got curbed following shoulder injury.

Chandu Borde has played 55 tests in all and scored 2417 runs altogether. From mid to late 60s, he was known as bulwark with regards to Indian Batting.
