Samuel Deduno is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic and plays as a pitcher. In 2003, the Colorado Rockies signed up a 20-year old Deduno and assigned him to the minor leagues. He played in the Pioneer League in 2004 and was awarded the Pitcher of the Year award for the league. The same season, Deduno was also named to the Pioneer League Post Season All-Star team.

After playing with the Asheville Tourists in the A-League, Deduno moved up to the Tulsa Drillers by 2007. He led the Texas League in strikeouts and was also the recipient of a Pitcher of the Week award. After a great 2007, he was destined to come up to the big league however, an injury forced him to miss the entire 2008 season.

Deduno returned from injury in 2009 and played for the Tulsa Drillers in the AA-League and in May, 2009, he was named to the 40-man roster of the Colorado Rockies after stellar performances in the AA-League.
