Theo Walcott is an English football player who plays striker in Arsenal. He transferred to the team from Southampton in 2006.

Walcott is a product of Southampton's youth club and he reached the FA Youth Cup Final with the team in 2005. At 15 years and 175 days he was the youngest player to play in Southampton's reserve team. He did not get to play for the club in the Premier League, as they were relegated in 2005, but made his debut against Leeds in October 2005, and immediately showed his potential with a goal, four days later he scored again against Millwall, and then again at home against Stoke City the weekend after.

His performance was not left unnoticed and he was linked to British, Italian, and Spanish top clubs before eventually signing for Arsenal in January, 2006. He won the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award in 2006.

In February, 2007 he debuted for the reserve team and scored. In August he played his first Premier League game and assisted Silva to a goal. He was the youngest Arsenal player to play in a European competition when he came on against Dinamo Zagreb.Edit text
