Emmanuel Eboue is a graduate of the Jean-Marc Guillou’s football academy in Abidjan and moved to Belgian side Beveren in September 2002. After three impressive seasons there, he was signed by Arsenal in January 2005 on a four year contract for a transfer fee of just over 1.5 million pounds. He made his debut for the Gunners in the FA Cup against Stoke City.
Emmanuel Eboue soon earned a regular place in Arsene Wenger’s starting xi at right back but in the 2007-2008 season he was used mostly as a right winger.
Emmanuel Eboue made his debut for Ivory Coast in September 2004 against Sudan and played in the 2006 African Cup of Nations and in the 2006 Germany World Cup.
