Emmanuel Adebayor is an African football player from Togo who plays striker in London-based Arsenal in the Premier League, as well as for Togo on a national level. He transferred to Arsenal from AS Monaco in 2006.
He was instrumental in bringing Togo to the World Cup in Germany in 2006 and scored 11 goals in the qualifiers. He was nominated for the African Footballer of the Year award.
