Ricky Rubio

On 15th October 2005, Ricky Rubio became the player with the least age to ever participate in the Spanish ACB League. He weighs 190 lbs and is 6 feet 3.75 inches tall. He plays in the position of point guard.

For the Spanish national team, Rubio won the Silver Medal at the 2008 Olympics Basketball Tournament. He won the Gold Medal at the FIBA Europe Under 16 Championship in 2006 and the Bronze Medal at the FIBA Europe Under 16 Championship.

During his professional career, Rubio was voted the Spanish ACB League’s Best Point Guard in 2008 and All Spanish ACB League team in 2008. In the same year, he won the ULEB Cup Championship and the Spanish King’s Cup. In 2007 and 2008, he was the FIBA Europe Young Player of the Year. He won the FIBA EuroCup Championship in 2006 and three Catalan National Leagues in 2005, 2007 and 2008.

During the 2008 Olympics Basketball tournament, Rubio contested against Team USA and became the youngest basketball player to take part in an Olympic basketball final.

Rubio won the Mr Europa Award in 2008, the FIBA Europe Young Player of the Year in 2007 and 2008, Spanish ACB League Rising Star Award in 2007 and FIBA Europe Under 16 Championship MVP in 2006.
