Mike Hass fan club

Mike Hass is a wide receiver for the Chicago Bears. Hass played for Oregon State University from 2003-2005. In his senior season, he was named to the ESPN and AP All-American First-team and received the Fred Biletnikoff Award. The Fred Biletnikoff Award is an annual honor given to the best receiver in college football. In the East-West Shrine Game the wide receiver, who played for the West, caught four passes totaling 107 yards. Hass made the catch that gave his team the victory.

The New Orleans Saints selected him in the sixth-round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Hass was the 171st overall pick. He signed a three-year contract with the Saints on July 27, 2006. After playing in the preseason, he was cut by New Orleans on September 3, 2006. Hass was signed to the Chicago Bears practice roster the following day. After the 2006 season, the Bears put him on their team roster. After an impressive final preseason game, he earned a regular season spot as their sixth wide receiver.

Although not fast, Hass has excellent quickness. He's smart and athletic, ably handling himself when negotiating pass coverages. Hass can make difficult leaping catches in thick traffic and is also a deep threat. Not afraid to take a hit, he's a tough competitor and considered to have the best potential of any young receiver in the NFL.
